The Signs Of The Zodiac

Original and similar lyrics
Do you beleve in the Signs of the Zodiac? Haven't you found that the systems for Planning always fail? Can you avoid what gave Daddy his heart attack? Have you tried everything, anything All to no avail? I know what you need. This will really work. In ancient times, if you were sick They make you bleed. Oh, honey I know it hurts. Look all around you and notice you're not alone. We want to give you the courage to Go a different way. Think of the love and attention we all have shown. What did we do when we heard, well, we All came right away. I know what you need. This will really work. In ancient times, if you were sick They make you bleed. Oh, honey I know it hurts. Do you believe in the Signs of the Zodiac? I know what you need. This will really work. In ancient times, if you were sick They make you bleed. Oh, honey I know it hurts. Do you believe in the Signs of the Zodiac?

When It Hurts

AVANT "Avant"
Can you take me telling you the truth When I know the situation is shadiest But my girl, will you.. Believe when I say I knew that you be tripping So I slept out in my ride in the driveway So before we get into the things that we shouldn't do I'ma need your undivided attention Cause it's fantasies and reality Baby which one are we living in, oh When it hurts, will we still be The same two lovers All over each other When it hurts, will we still see What we got together Promise that we'll never Never ever be Temporary (Not Another) Ordinary (Uh uh) We should change people's definition of love So forget what you heard The only way that this will work Is if you love me when it hurts Can you love when it hurts I don't wanna blend in With every other relationship that be falling in and out girl (Not us) I knew that I tripped Cause every time we argued I think about having someone on the side girl So before we get into the things that we shouldn't do I'ma need your undivided attention Cause it's fantasies and reality Baby which one are we living in, oh When it hurts, will we still be The same two lovers All over each other When it hurts, will we still see What we got together Promise that we'll never Never ever be Temporary (Not Another) Ordinary (Nuh uh) We should change people's definition of love So forget what you heard The only way that this will work You gotta love me when it hurts Babygirl we gotta face it There'll be times that we let each other down And on the days that you ain't feeling me Will you be able to stick around Cause anything worth having is worth fighting for If we really want this thing to work We gotta go to war Girl, I'm in this thing I mean we're in this thing But through the tears will you still be here When it hurts, will we still be The same two lovers All over each other When it hurts, will we still see What we got together Promise that we'll never Never ever be Temporary (Not Another) Ordinary (Nuh uh) I wanna change people's definition of love So forget what you heard Cause the only way that this will work Is if you love me when it hurts (When it hurts) When it hurts (When it hurts) Do you love me when it hurts Girl when it hurts (When it hurts) When it hurts (When it hurts) Do you love me when it hurts When it hurts (When it hurts) When it hurts (When it hurts) Do you love me when it hurts When it hurts (When it hurts) When it hurts (When it hurts) When it hurts (When it hurts) Do you love me when it hurts

Something More Than Free

JASON ISBELL "Something More Than Free"
When I get home from work I'll call up all my friends And we'll go bust up something beautiful we'll have to build again When I get home from work I'll wrestle off my clothes And leave em right inside the front door 'cause nobody's home to know You see a hammer finds a nail And a freight train needs the rails And I'm doin' what I'm on this earth to do And I don't think on why I'm here where it hurts I'm just lucky to have the work Sunday morning I'm too tired to go to church But I thank God for the work When I get my reward my work will all be done And I will sit back in my chair beside the father and the son No more holes to fill and no more rocks to break And no more loading boxes on the trucks for someone else's sake 'Cause a hammer needs a nail And the poor man's up for sale Guess I'm doin' what I'm on this earth to do And I don't think on why I'm here where it hurts I'm just lucky to have the work And every night I dream I'm drowning in the dirt But I thank God for the work And the day will come when I'll find a reason And somebody proud to love a man like me My back is numb, my hands are freezing What I'm working for is something more than free And I don't think on why I'm here where it hurts I'm just lucky to have the work Sunday morning I'm too tired to go to church But I thank God for the work

Second Hand Satin Lady (And A Bargain Basement Boy)

JERRY REED "Half Singin' And Half Pickin'"
Well I bet we sure look shabby to the pryin' eyes of town You in your tattered dungarees me in my hand me downs All they see of you and me are the worn out clothes we wear They don't see the rich love that we share For a second hand satin lady and a bargain basement boy You're my ragged angel I'm your shabby pride and joy In your Salvation Army dress and me in my Goodwill shoes Livin' proof that the hard times can be the good times too That old junk store kitchen table well it's about to fall right down The curtains you made sure fit quite well with that old stuffed chair we found That old lumpy bed in the bedroom has the stuffin' showin' through But it's heaven when I'm lyin' next to you For a second hand satin lady and a bargain basement boy You're my ragged angel I'm your shabby pride and joy In your Salvation Army dress and me in my Goodwill shoes Livin' proof that the hard times can be the good times too Honey if I'm with you We can see the crack in the ceilin' when we're lyin' here at night Dreamin' our dreams together in the glare of the one bare light But honey if the dreams we dream do or don't come true I'm still gonna be right here to dream with you I'll gladly go through the hardest times with you Oh honey I can make it long as I got you

Woody's Rag / Hard Work

ARLO GUTHRIE "Son Of The Wind"
While we're on the subject of hard work, I just wanted to say that I always was a man to work. I was born working and I worked my way up by hard work. I ain't never got nowhere yet but I got there by hard work. Work of the hardest kind. I been down and I been out and I've been busted, disgusted and couldn't be trusted. I worked my way up and I worked my way down. I've been drunk and I've been sober. I've had hard times and I got hijacked and been robbed for cash and robbed on credit. Worked my way into jail and outta jail and I woke up a lotta mornings and I didn't even know where I was at. But the hardest work I ever done is when I was trying to get myself a worried woman to ease my worried mind. Now I'm gonna tell you just about how much hard work I had to do to get this here woman that I'm a-tellin' you about. I shook hands with 97 of her kinfolks and her blood relatives and I done the same with 86 people that was just her friends and her neighbors. Kissed 73 babies and put dry pants on 34 of 'em, as well as others, and done the When thing several times, as well as a lot of other things just about like this. I held 125 head of wild horses, put saddles and bridles on more than that, harnessed some of the craziest, wildest teams in the whole country. I rode 14 loco broncos to a dead standstill and let 42 hound dogs lick me all over. 7 times I was bit by hungry dogs and I was chewed all to pieces by water moccasins and rattlesnakes on 2 separate river bottoms. I chopped and I carried 314 arm loads of stoved wood; 100 buckets of coal, and I carried a gallon of kerosene 18 miles and lost a good pair of shoes in a mud hole. And I chopped and I weeded 48 rows of short cotton, 13 acres of bad corn and cut the sticker weeds out of 11 back yards, all on account a 'cause I wanted to show her that I was a man and I liked to work I cleaned out 9 barnloads, and cranked 31 automobiles, all makes and models, pulled 3 cars out of mud holes and 4 out of snowdrifts. I dug 5 cisterns of water for some of her friends and neighbors and run all kinds of errands. I played the fiddle for 9 church meetings and I joined 11 separate denominations. I signed up and joined up for 7 of the best trade unions I could find and paid my dues about 6 weeks ahead of time, waded 40 miles of swamps, 60 big rivers, walked across 2 mountain ranges and crossed 3 deserts. I got the fever and I got the sun stroke and I got the malaria and I got the flu and I got moonstruck and skeeter bit, the poison ivy and the 7 year itch and the blind staggers. I was given up for lost and dead about 2 dozen times. Struck by lightning, struck by Congress, struck by friends and kinfolks, as well as by 3 cars on the highways and a lotta times in peoples' henhouses. I been hit and run down and run over and walked on and knocked around and I'm just settin' here now trying to study up what else I can do to show that woman that I still ain't afraid of hard work.
